6 southern California prospects that trojans should priorities for the upcoming football season
on June 9, USC football welcomed two of its top recruiting targets for 2024 for official visits. Being the only two authorized guests that weekend allowed linebacker, Kyngston Viliamu-Asa and safety Peyton woodyard, both from St. john Bosco high school in California, to spend a lot of time with the trojans caching staff.
The top three teams in Viliamu-Asa are USC, Ohio state, and Notre Dame. The University of Georgia has Woodyard's commitment.
fans of USC should hold hops, though.
Viliamu-Asa is the 109th-best player in the country. the eighth-ranked linebacker is him. Woodyard is regarded as the No.4 safety and no.69 overall player in the country.
one of the nation's most adaptable linebackers. He is an inside linebacker, but he is a unique every-down player with the versatility to play many positions in a defense. for a 6-3,230-pound athlete, he can stuff the run, blitz off the edge, and play extremely smoothly in coverage.
As a freshman, he was considered to be the best prospect in the state, but he tore his ACL in the final game of the year, missing the whole sophomore season. although he has a game made for pads and is a strong hitter, we witnessed him lock up receivers and the tight ends in coverage during a 7v7 match. He's a perceptive youngster who plays with a never-ending drive and is also intelligent. being a rough young man with a nice edge in his game.
Natural safety and excellence in all endeavors he plays in a defense where he must cover and provide run supports, and he excel at both.
Demonstrates good range and covers a large area at the back end. he is an above-average athlete who moves well from side to side and makes play. he makes good tackles, will fly off the flash in run support, does a wonderful job securing the ball, and seldom ever misses in one-on-one situations. his peers regard him as natural leader. a prospective captain at the next level with a tremendous work ethic off the pitch plays baseball as well but will concrete on football in college.
